Poppi has agreed to pay $8.9 million to settle a class action lawsuit that accuses the company of falsely marketing its beverages as “gut healthy.” Plaintiffs allege that Poppi’s claims about promoting digestive health were misleading and unsupported by scientific evidence, leading consumers to pay a premium price under false pretenses.

Poppi, a sparkling prebiotic soda brand, denies any wrongdoing but chose to settle to avoid further litigation. The settlement compensates consumers who purchased any Poppi drink flavor or package size during the eligibility period.

What Settlement Class Members Can Receive

Payments depend on the number of products purchased:

• With Proof of Purchase:

  • $0.75 per single can

  • $3 per four-pack

  • $6 per eight-pack

  • $9 per 12- or 15-pack

• Without Proof of Purchase:
  Class members can claim up to $16 per household.

Exact payment amounts may vary depending on the number of claims submitted.

To receive benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by September 26, 2025. Those who do not exclude themselves from the settlement will automatically waive their right to pursue related legal claims.
